There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit. (Romans 8:1) You know those accusing fingers that have been pointing at you since you were a child and continue to do so in your imagination? You know, those thoughts that are constantly yelling at you: You will never rise above poverty, You are not pretty or desirable, You always get at least two major flu bouts every year. Well, tell them to get going and leave you alone! They have absolutely no right to accuse you of anything! Jesus Christ was raised from the dead and is seated on the right hand side of the Father. He got up there by the power of the Holy Spirit, who lifted Him up body and all! Yes, He is God and was God, who left the glories of heaven to come down to earth and live like you and me in an earth suit. In the First Book of John we learn that He has always been there and that without Him nothing would have been made. Therefore, He was not created. He is eternal spirit, Everlasting God. Yet He chose to become man so that He could restore our relationship with God. Adam had messed it up. Jesus restored it. You know something, though? I used to have a mental picture of Jesus sitting up there beside the Father. Thats true... but we, who have accepted Him as our Lord and Savior are bought by His Blood. We are His inheritance! We are co-heirs with Him! That means that we are already seated there with Him as our spirits are connected to Him waiting for our glorified bodies to connect once we get there! The Bible calls Jesus Christ the firstborn of many brethren (Romans 8:29). Thats you and me, brother! Because you were bought back from Satan by His precious Blood, you are His anointed. Yes, you are anointed IF you are saved. You can walk around with your head held high, declaring that you are a Kings Kid! You were chosen by the King of Kings and Lord of Lords Himself and NO ONE can take that away from you. When demeaning and accusing thoughts bombard you in order to try and drag you down, you tell them that your Father owns the cattle on a thousand hills! (Psalm 50:10). He is Lord over the whole earth now, and He has chosen you to reign with Him far above every principality and power! Declare your inheritance daily, with thanksgiving to the Lord. Yesterday is gone; today is a brand new day. His mercies are new every morning. Bless Him every day and forget not all His benefits. He forgives you, heals you, redeems your life from destruction, crowns you with loving-kindness and tender mercies, and satisfies your mouth with good things; so that your youth is renewed like the eagles! (Psalm 103:2-5) WOW! If you were born into royalty here on earth, you would be wearing a crown, be honored, and be revered. You ARE wearing a crown with royal diadems, you are precious, but your kingdom is incorruptible and everlasting! You are royalty. Let no one touch the Lords anointed! (I Chron.: 16:22). |
