Happiness is Unity

We think we know the reality of matter and are happy, but we cannot know reality as long as we are separated from it. Living in our skin, we look through eyes, periscopes, microscopes and telescopes, but our instruments and senses only let us perceive and understand what our minds allow us to perceive and understand. Reality and the awesome material universe are something else altogether; in truth, we need to change our paradigm in order to have access to Reality and happiness. In contrast to the external world outside of ourselves, it is within ourselves where we find Reality. Happiness is the integration in the unity of our being with everything surrounding it, and it happens when we cease from identifying with our physical image. We can delight in our physical reflection, but should not think of it as ourselves. The emotions, thoughts, impulses and acts that flow into our bodies and minds only reveal our impermanence because our physical and mental streams are consistently changing and flowing with the chemical elements surrounding us as our bodies compose and decompose. Our bodies are not stationary because the atoms in it and the universe are constantly changing speed and existence, not allowing anything to appear as stable; yet, we see things as permanent. This is the cause of all our problems, the things we see are temporary, and the pure consciousness we cannot see is permanent.

Looking upon a broader horizon across all the experiences that are limited and unpleasant we can see the dazzling light of a new dawn where everything is unified. Our motions within and without resolve themselves in the simplicity of the whole experience, when we focus on simple unity and have become acquainted with the pure consciousness that is apparently outside and within ourselves. This consciousness is witnessed inside, when we know that reality is more than what is observed outside with the senses. Letting go of what is little, we enter into a larger concept of life where there is nothing to fear because we realize that conflict is the result of seeing only in part, not the whole picture.

Unless there is a unifying principle where everything can live and subsist, then nothing can be recognized because we would not even be knowledgeable of living in the same world with each other. Our presence and awareness of the physical world around us implies something that coordinates everything into one complete accord. This means that there is a universal Reality which we do not create, but which we can discover. This Reality is happiness, which is everything, in everything and always moving toward that which expresses life, God and unity, but if our desires are destructive, we will not see God and will suffer until unity is learned. The lesson is that God is all there is and is never two because God doesn't operate against Himself and is not self-destructive. I am the Lord thy God and thou shall not have strange gods before me, is the first commandment. All there is, is God, otherwise there is no God. If there is anything that exists which is not God, then there is no God; therefore, God is the source of all things that means evil as well as good. All things and circumstances are generated out of God, the power of the universe. The individual minds in God create what we call evil. The root of this evil is not seeing the unifying force, withholding love and condemning others. The opposite is love, a magnet that attracts and unites the best of everything in a greater and greater good. We do not create this expanding wholeness because it is a divine idea, but we can become aware of this divine Reality that has existed since before the beginning of time by opening up and accepting it, when it creates a wonderful new good in our lives.

The individual through intuition knows that which is outside by bringing it inside the conscious mind where the perception and the perceiver become one and the same. This is a process of love where one knows and loves something by bringing it into his heart. Nothing can appear in the objective world unless there is first a subjective world to perceive that object; therefore, there is no object on the outside of Reality because everything exists inside subjectivity. The Universe has to be one in order to exist at all. Our thoughts arise from a medium in which both the one who sees, and that which is seen, exist in unity. The Bible says, "God is everything." Therefore, God exists in me, and because of this I can recognize other beings in which God exists. This is the medium through which we are conscious of others, our environment and ourselves; it is pure happiness.
